BTS' Jimin and Jungkook nominated for '2024 MTV EMAs'...proving they're world class
The 2024 MTV Europe Music Awards (MTV Europe Awards) announced on Monday that BTS's Jimin and Jungkook have been nominated for the Best K-Pop category. BTS is the most recent winner of this category, which was established in 2019. Jungkook won two awards at the 2023 MTV Europe Music Awards. He was also named Best K-Pop artist that year, cementing his status as one of K-Pop's leading solo singers.
This year, both Jimin and Jungkook are nominated for Best K-Pop solo artist, respectively.
Jimin and Jungkook's solo songs have long been popular on the U.S. Billboard charts. According to the latest chart released by Billboard on Oct. 12, the title track "Who" from Jimin's second solo album "MUSE" is ranked No. 26 on the Hot 100, up four spots from the previous week. MUSE, which includes the song, peaked at No. 103 on the main Billboard 200 album chart. MUSE also debuted at No. 1 on the World Albums chart, while "Who" landed at No. 12 on the Global (excluding US), No. 13 on the Global 200, No. 20 on the Streaming Songs, and No. 26 on the Pop Airplay chart.
Jungkook's "Seven (feat. Latto)" peaked at No. 81 on the Global 200 and "Standing Next to You," the title track from his solo album "GOLDEN," at No. 161. "Seven (feat.
