QWER Scores First #1 on Music Airplay... 358 Days After Debut

Girl band QWER has won its first music broadcasting number one trophy since its debut.

QWER (Chodan, Magenta, Hina, and Demo) took the top spot on MBC M and MBC every1's "Show Champion," which aired on the 9th of this month, with the title track "My Name is Clear" from their mini second album "Algorithm's Blossom."

QWER achieved their first music broadcasting number one in 358 days after their debut without appearing on air.

QWER said through their agency, "I'm so grateful for the precious gift of being No. 1 in music broadcasting. We are spending a happy day because many people love 'My Name is Clear'. We will work harder so that our music can reach more people. We will make every day sunny."

The group shared their sincere feelings.

The new song, "My Name Is Clear," is a song that conveys a hopeful message of moving forward through pain and hurt in a delicate emotional line like watching a diary. The theme of piano and guitar are charmingly combined, and QWER's unique light and lyrical melody stands out. The song was written, composed, and arranged by Soyeon of the group, completing the special synergy with QWER.

My Name is Sunny, meanwhile, debuted at No. 2 on the Melon Top 100 and No. 2 on the daily charts of major Korean music sites, as well as No. 1 on the YouTube Music Weekly Chart for two consecutive weeks, and No. 1 on the Korean Popular Songs Top 100.
