ILLIT’s Debut Song ‘Magnetic’ Surpasses 600 Million Streams on Spotify, Fastest Among K-pop Debuts

K-pop girl group ILLIT has set a new milestone with their debut track “Magnetic” in the global music scene.

According to Spotify on May 25, ILLIT’s debut track “Magnetic” from their first mini album “SUPER REAL ME” has surpassed 600,050,284 cumulative streams as of May 23. This marks the fastest time a K-pop debut song has reached this figure on the platform.

“Magnetic” is a dance track that blends Pluggnb and House genres, featuring lyrics that compare romantic attraction to a magnetic pull. With its catchy phrase “super attraction” and signature finger choreography, the song sparked a global challenge trend and gained widespread popularity.

Released in March last year, the song quickly topped major Korean music charts and became the first K-pop debut track to enter both the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Official Singles Top 100 in record time. Even a year after its release, “Magnetic” remains a mainstay on domestic music charts.

Meanwhile, ILLIT is set to release their third mini album “bomb” on June 16. The group has already previewed parts of the album, including the title track “Do the Dance,” capturing the attention of fans worldwide.
