Beomgyu, a member of TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT), will release his first mixtape, "Panic," on July 27 at 6 p.m. KST. The song is a self-written track with a warm touch to the rock band's sound, and Beomgyu not only composed and wrote the lyrics, but also participated in the entire production of the music video, adding his own color to it.

"Panic" centers on the message of moving forward one step at a time, even in a dark world, and is inspired by Beomgyu's own experience of using music to help him through difficult times. The lyrics were written in collaboration with singer-songwriter Heo Hoekyung, and the song delicately captures the emotions of youth and delivers a message of comfort.

Beomgyu shared his thoughts on the mixtape through his agency, Big Hit Music, ahead of its release. "It felt good to showcase songs that reflected my thoughts and tastes," he said, adding, "I was surprised and moved when I first heard the finished songs." "I chose the rock band sound because I love band music, and I thought it was the best genre to express my feelings," he explained."

When asked about collaborating with Heo, he said, "I found great comfort in her songs during a difficult time. 'Panic' is a song that started with a desire to convey that comfort again." "I put a lot of thought into the lyrics to make sure the message was better conveyed," he said."

"I hope that 'Panic' will comfort someone," Beomgyu said, adding, "I know that many people have seen me as an entertainer, but I want them to know that I am a person who conveys sincerity and empathy through music."

"This song is just the beginning," he said of the topics he hopes to cover in the future, adding, "I want to tell various stories in my own color." "This may be the darkest moment, but let's not stop," he concluded, quoting a line from "Quarter Life," a song from "minisode 3: TOMORROW," the sixth mini album of Tomorrow X Together."
